 My Goal My Ambition

Hello! It’s 2023 already. As I grew older and my responsibilities grew, I realized that I wanted more than just a title, a position, or a degree. What I truly wanted was happiness. High school gives you a sense of structure to be a well-rounded person, but when you are in college, suddenly everything is dependent on a choice. As a 12th grade student, I’ve realized that my need and want as a person can evolve and that is completely okay. Do you know how many times people end up working in professions that have nothing to do with their major?

I have learned to follow my heart. I want to take a law major on University of Indonesia.  I want to be more knowledgeable about what is our laws and I think it is something that is taught in school. How can we be law abiding citizens when we are not taught the laws for us to follow. My mindset always say “Don’t be afraid to explore new things if it feels right!”

My Career goal is to become a Paralegal. Unlike, most of the students that are taking law courses to become lawyers, I am satisfied with just getting my associates in Paralegal. Our jobs are just as important as the attorney who goes to the trial. We are the ones who make the first initial contact with the client until after the attorney-client meets, research and investigate the facts of cases to ensure that all is relevant and the information is considered, prepare the work need for the closing, hearings and trials.

All in all, college should be an enjoyable experience. I want to take up opportunities that I may enjoy because we never know how much you may actually end up liking it. Following my gut and believe in myself.
